SUMMARY OF POSITION

A Team Leader for The Comfy Cow should be responsible, competent, and have a positive attitude. They are the person in charge when the Manager and Assistant Manager are not present. They should lead their clerks and treat their customers with respect. A Team Leader should assist the management team in any store related situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that business is conducted in a way that fosters the enthusiasm, integrity, satisfaction, and high performance of all employees
  • Ensure proper staffing for assigned shift and notifying upper management when staffing needs fall below acceptable levels
  • Keep the store on brand within the requirements noted in the Operations Manual
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Keep employees satisfied and value clerk feedback
  • Keep the store clean
  • Prepare deposits and take deposits to the bank or give to the courier on specified days
  • Keep store stocked and notify management of low products
  • Assist employee evaluations as needed
  • Monitor labor
  • Handle money in the safe and drawers
  • Assure nightly paperwork is completed properly
  • Assist with and participate in regular staff meetings
  • Supervises clerks and handle customers
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple business issues and activities concurrently
  • Management skills to effectively assess, develop, motivate and direct team within the areas of responsibility

SUMMARY OF POSITION

A Clerk is responsible for the day to day operation of store. Clerks serve as the face of the company because they are who the customer interacts with the most. A Clerk is to serve customers from start to finish, while providing great customer service and proving to be competent in their position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform ultimate Comfy Cow service
  • Greet and serve customers
  • Prepare all menu items
  • Prepare waffle cone batter and make waffle cones and bowls
  • Stock all paper and food items needed to serve customers
  • Handle cash – make change
  • Maintain a clean, fresh personal appearance at all times
  • Participate regularly in staff meetings
  • Address customer concerns
  • Be familiar with store evaluation procedures
  • Wash dishes according to guidelines set forth

  • Must have high energy and a warm, pleasant attitude
  • Has strong verbal and communication skills
  • Has good organization skills
  • Is flexible with scheduling
  • Has the ability to build a relationship with the customer and other staff members

Reports to: Production Manager

FSLA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This person assists the Production Manager to produce baked goods and ice cream prep products for The Comfy Cow. The baked goods and prep items produced by the Production Assistant contribute to a robust menu of store offerings and traditional and innovative ice cream flavors.

The Production Assistant will assist the Production Manager with the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bake cookies, pies, pastries, and other baked goods
  • Use icing, fillings, and decorations for presentation
  • Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter, following recipes
  • Roll, cut and shape dough to form pie crusts, tarts, cookies and other related products
  • Place dough / batter in pans, molds or on sheets and bake in a convection oven; observe products while cooking and adjust controls as needed
  • Mix icings and other toppings and decorate cakes and other baked goods
  • Use a variety of kitchen tools, including electric mixers, pans, rolling pins and cutting tools
  • Mix, cut, and form dough according to recipes
  • Use machinery and appliances for mixing, baking, and storing baked goods
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen area; clean cooking equipment, dishware, and utensils
  • Support production of baked ice cream inclusions
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a bakery / restaurant / hospitality industry or similar retail business; or academic training equivalent thereof
  • Work in a way that fosters the enthusiasm, integrity, satisfaction, and high performance of all employees
  • Manage and maintain all facilities to defined standards
  • Be reliable, organized, and communicate effectively as part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Walks or stands for long periods of time
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to operate equipment set at standard height
  • Must reach, bend, stoop, lift, wipe
  • Some repetitive motion may be required
  • Must be able to access all small wares or product at varying heights of storage

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Part-time hours available with some weekend availability from time to time
  • Hazards include, but not limited to, slipping, tripping, burns, cuts, abrasions and falls.
