The Comfy Cow is the Louisville Metro Area’s destination spot for a truly “one of a kind” ice cream experience. Owners, Tim and Roy Koons-McGee, have pushed the boundaries of creative flavors, customer service and an atmosphere that customers crave…fun, family friendly and funky. The Comfy Cow offers distinctive, mouth-watering, handcrafted, super-premium ice cream and ice cream products, as well as homemade desserts, all made right on the premises.

Every item starts with only the freshest and finest ingredients we could find…fresh roasted Georgia pecans, rich Callebaut chocolates, succulent fruits and the highest quality Madagascar vanilla we could find, to mention only a few. Each batch of ice cream is handcrafted in our Westport Village location, four gallons at a time, ensuring only the freshest and most taste-tempting flavors.

We scoured the earth searching for just the right items to make The Comfy Cow the coziest, most eclectic ice cream shop you’ve ever step foot in. Our good friend Melissa Perry designed and made all the great light fixtures in the shop. The soda fountain behind the counter is the real thing we refurbished just for our shop. The milk-bottle lampshades are the real thing. Some of them are even from our hometowns.
